Who are Germaine the Capuccini
The founder
Germaine de Capuccini was established by Carmen Vidal-Ballester in the scenic, picturesque village of Alcoy in Spain. From early in her life Carmen became especially interested in natural cosmetics, as reflected in her studies in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Algiers. However it was only when she moved to France’s capital Paris, the birthplace of modern cosmetics, beauty and fashion, that she further increased her passion, craft and knowledge of the world of aesthetics and beauty.
Small beginnings-How it all began.
In 1964 after settling in Alcoy (which is near Alicante) a small village in the southern hills of Spain surrounded by olive groves and orange orchards. Carmen established a beauty therapy business for the affluent and stylish Spanish ladies of the area and offered her clients the divine products she developed herself in the tiny kitchen of her small beauty salon. This ultimately became the birthplace of Germaine de Capuccini and all that this magnificent brand stands for.
The Home
The kitchen grew to a place that is now situated situated on an 18.000 square metre (194.000 sq/ft premises in the south of Spain. Since then Germaine de Capuccini has developed some of the worlds most innovative and talked about skincare formulations. Its success lies in the combination of natural active ingredients with cutting-edge technology that has enabled the company to bring to market some of the most influential skin care products and professional spa therapies the beauty industry has ever seen.
